Joseph S. Peterson Jr. was born in New Orleans, and lived with his parents at least through Oct 1940, when he registered for the draft.
In 1933 he was a freshman at Loyola University in New Orleans
Sometime during WWII he moved to Washington DC (reason for address change on draft card):
He remained in the Washington DC/Northern Virginia area until his death in 1992.
