Susannah Brooks Dec 17, 2020 4:56 PM (in response to Ron Errico)1 person found this helpfulThe Washington Post 1877-2004 is available on ProQuest Historical Newspapers. Check with your local library system to see if they have access. For example, I have access online at home in Maryland, through the Baltimore County Public Library. Many larger public libraries, college & university libraries, etc have access.
I found the list for the 1979 1st & 2nd teams (17 Jun 1979, p.F10), but it only downloads in pdf format, which does not work here. The 1978 list, which has photos, appeared in the 17 Jun 1978 edition, p. D3.

Dear Mr. Errico,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
We suggest that you contact the libraries in your area to inquire as to whether they have Washington Post back issues in either paper or microfilm format. Also, some libraries have institutional subscriptions to ProQuest Historical Newspapers or other online newspaper databases that include scans of Washington Post editions from this time period. We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
