Dear Mr. Simmensen,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
We searched the National Archives Catalog and located the series Final Reports of Research Projects, 1962-1970 in the Records of the Office of Education (Record Group 12) that was created by the Office of Educations’ Bureau of Research and that might contain the information you are looking for. Because the records are arranged by Bureau of Research project number, it would be necessary to have that number before a search of records could be conducted. You may also want to review the other series created by the Bureau of Research and its successors in the Catalog. These records have not been digitized. Please contact the National Archives at College Park - Textual Reference (RDT2) at firstname.lastname@example.org for information about and access to these records.
If you have any further information about the report (e.g. date, subject, authors), you may be able to narrow down the search. The series Basic Research in Education Project Files, 1966-1972 from Record Group 12, for example, includes the names of the universities or other locations where the research was conducted. Additional series in Record Group 12 that might be useful include Final Reports of Cooperative Research Projects, 1956-1967, Final Reports of Completed Contracts Funded by the National Defense Education Act of 1958, 1962-1966, and Final Research Project Reports, 1970-1976, among others. These records are not searchable by title of report alone, and they have not been digitized. Please contact RDT2 with any questions you might have about them.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and pursuant to guidance received from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), NARA has adjusted its normal operations to balance the need of completing its mission-critical work while also adhering to the recommended social distancing for the safety of NARA staff. As a result of this re-prioritization of activities, you may experience a delay in receiving an initial acknowledgement as well as a substantive response to your reference request from RDT2. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and patience.
Finally, we suggest that you search ERIC - Education Resources Information Center. As an example of the type of resources that can be found there, we located this description for a Feasibility Study: Behavioral Science Teacher Evaluation Program. Final Report that includes a PDF link to the full text. It is possible that the specific report you are looking for may be located online via ERIC, and if the full text is not available, there still may be some relevant information (i.e. report number or date) that will help you locate the report in NARA records.
We hope this information is helpful. Best of luck with your research.
Would you happen to have more information about the project?
Your source of information
Could the title be different? The year it was written? The author?
