Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
We searched the National Archives Catalog and located the Death Register for Prisoners at Elmira, New York, 1889 - 1904 in the War Department Collection of Confederate Records (Record Group 109). Including this series, we also located a total of 12 record series in Record Group 109 related to Elmira. For more information about these records, please email the National Archives at Washington, DC - Textual Reference (RDT1) at Archives1reference@nara.gov
Additionally, we located Endorsements Relating to the Prisoner of War Depot, 10/1864 - 7/1865; Lists of Drafted Men and Prisoners Forwarded, 1863 - 1865 and Register of Paroled Confederate Prisoners Who Reported for Registration, 12/1864 - 4/1865 in the Records of the Provost Marshal General's Bureau (Civil War) (Record Group 110) that may have information concerning the prisoners.
