The wavy lines were used in place of ditto marks and indicate that they were from Germany, headed to the US, and were in steerage.

Dear Ms. Jozwik,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
We searched the Access to Archival Databases (AAD) and located a database titled Germans to America Passenger Data File, 1850 - 1897 in the Records of the Center for Immigration Research (Collection CIR) that includes passenger records for Catherine, Gerva, and Joseph Adneitis. To locate the arrival date, ship name, and port of departure information associated with an individual passenger record, please search the Manifest Header Data File in AAD using the manifest identification number listed in the passenger record. Please refer to the FAQs for more details. This information was obtained from the Battery Conservancy, Castle Garden Immigration Center in 2002.
The digitized information from the previous poster was obtained from the National Archives Catalog series Passenger Lists, 1820 - 1897 (M237) and Passenger and Crew Lists of Vessels Arriving at New York, New York, 1897-1957 (T715) in the Records of the U.S. Customs Service (Record Group 36). For access to M237 & T715, please contact the National Archives at Washington, DC - Textual Reference (RDT1) via email at archives1reference@nara.gov.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and pursuant to guidance received from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), NARA has adjusted its normal operations to balance the need of completing its mission-critical work while also adhering to the recommended social distancing for the safety of NARA staff. As a result of this re-prioritization of activities, you may experience a delay in receiving an initial acknowledgement as well as a substantive response to your reference request from RDT1. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and patience.
M237 and T715 are now available and searchable on Ancestry.com and FamilySearch.org - this may be what your Castle Garden correspondence was referring to. The Castle Garden database may have also been merged or updated with the Passenger Search - The Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island search form, which contains 65 million records covering passengers arriving at the Port of New York from 1820 to 1957.
We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
