So far, I was seeing caps or no caps as a formatting issue and did not worry about it. After reading an old post I find myself wondering if I should be transcribing things in all caps. Does all caps need to be transcribed in all caps? If yes, do I need to try to go back and redo things that I did not do in all caps?
Transcribing the text is most important, because that is what helps the Catalog search. Matching formatting isn't important. However to some transcribers it is very important and they may go back and edit your work. Please don't worry about any edits - the transcription is what is most important.
