We searched the National Archives Catalog and located the series Maps and Overlays, 1943-1946 in the Records of U.S. Army Operational, Tactical, and Support Organizations (World War II and Thereafter) (Records Group 338) that contains 11 file units related to tents, 11 file units related to huts, and 1 file unit related to barracks that may be relevant to your research. These records have not been digitized. We also located several other series that may contain some pertinent information, including the series General Correspondence, 1943-1944 of the Billeting Section in the Records of Headquarters, European Theater of Operations, United States Army (World War II)(Record Group 498); the series Records Relating to Aviation Personnel Housing, ca. 7/1943 - ca. 8/1945 in the Records of Naval Operating Forces (Record Group 313); the series Progress Reports, 1944-1945 in the Records of U.S. Army Forces in the China-Burma-India Theaters of Operation (Record Group 493); and from a slightly later time period, the series Transient Billeting Facilities Reports, 1962-1967 in the Records of the Office of the Secretary of Defense (Record Group 330).
