Re: Seeking information on Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church

The national repository for non-active/retired Methodist congregations is the Boston School of Theology at Boston University. Since the parish you're researching appears to be active, call them first to find their historian and determine what they have in their holdings still. Then try FamilySearch.org (free, but you have to create an account). Click Search (top menu) > then "Catalog." Once there, do a "place" search and type in "United States, North Carolina, Chatham" (less quotes). Click search. The results on that query should present some church records and historical books concerning churches in that area. Also try contacting the state conference perhaps?

Good Luck!
