1 person found this helpfulDear Mr. Denor,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
We searched the National Archives Catalog and located General Correspondence, 3/1943 - 11/1945 in the Records of the Office of the Secretary of War (Record Group 107); Unclassified General Administrative Correspondence, 1940 - 1945 in the Records of the Office of the Chief of Ordnance (Record Group 156); and General Correspondence, 1942 - 1945 of the Office of the Chief of Ordnance, Detroit in Record Group 156). These series could potentially have files on this award in records filed under War Department Decimal Classification Numbers 004.03 - Commercial firms, awards for efficiency and 095 - Industrial production awards. We also located Records Relating to the Army - Navy Production Awards, 1942 - 1945 and Minutes of Meetings and Other Records, 1942 - 1945 in Record Group 107 which related to “E” awards. For more information about these records, please email the National Archives at College Park - Textual Reference (RDT2) at Archives2reference@nara.gov.Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and pursuant to guidance received from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), NARA has adjusted its normal operations to balance the need of completing its mission-critical work while also adhering to the recommended social distancing for the safety of NARA staff. As a result of this re-prioritization of activities, you may experience a delay in receiving an initial acknowledgement as well as a substantive response to your reference request from RDT2. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and patience.
We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
