Re: Seeking information on Bessie Schrage & Almedia Adkins-Addis
Susannah Brooks Aug 8, 2020 8:36 PM (in response to Beth Redd)I believe that Almedia Adkins was the daughter of Francis M. Adkins and Louvenia Farrell, but could not find a death certificate or other record online that would contain your ancestor's parents' names to prove it.
In 1900 the family is in Carroll Co, Missouri and Almedia is listed as Anedia. In 1940 she is listed as Alma Addis. In most records Francis is listed as Frank and Louvenia as Lou. Francis M. Adkins married Lavena Farrell on 8 Mar 1885 in Carroll Co, Missouri.

Dear Ms. Redd,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
The Federal Government does not ordinarily create or maintain birth, death, marriage or divorce records. Such records are made and kept by State and local governments rather than the National Archives. We suggest that you contact the appropriate Office of Vital Records for the state in which they resided. Also, please review the FamilySearch Research wiki for United States Birth Records.
We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your family research!
