2 people found this helpfulDear Ms. Ciampi,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
We searched the National Archives Catalog and located Lists of Outgoing Passengers, 1917 - 1938 in the Records of the Office of the Quartermaster General (Record Group 92) that includes a complete list of personnel from the Base Hospital Number 12 that sailed on voyage of the SS Mongolia. Clara Edith Ayers and Helen Burnett Wood were listed as killed and Emma Matzen was wounded. We are attaching the list of nurses to this reply. Should you also be interested in the lists of officers and/or enlisted personnel, please post a follow-up request here on History Hub.
We also located the American Unofficial Collection of World War I Photographs, 1917 - 1918 in Records of the War Department General and Special Staffs (Record Group 165) that includes the photographs of Helen B. Wood and Edith Ayres.
We searched online and located two articles with information about the voyage.

Given the historical significance of the voyage and should you desire to donate the photographs or digital copies thereof to an archive or museum, we suggest contacting the U.S. Army’s Office of Medical History that maintains collections relating to Army nurses. They may be interested in the photograph or otherwise be able to advise on an appropriate institution for donation.
We hope this information is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
