Dear Mr. Clark,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
We searched the National Archives Catalog and located Annual Reports, 1871 - 2002; Annual Reports, 1865 - 1993; Central Files, 1898 - 1988; Annual Reports of the Director of the Mint and Miscellaneous Registers, 1873 - 1975; Case Files on U.S. Coins, 1874 - 1978; and General Subject Files on Proof Coins, 1955 - 1976 in Records of the U.S. Mint (Record Group 104) that may contain information about the production of uncirculated dollar coin sets. For more information about these records, please email the reference units listed as the contact in the Catalog description.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and pursuant to guidance received from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), NARA has adjusted its normal operations to balance the need of completing its mission-critical work while also adhering to the recommended social distancing for the safety of NARA staff. As a result of this re-prioritization of activities, you may experience a delay in receiving an initial acknowledgement as well as a substantive response to your reference request from various NARA units. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and patience.
Many of the annual reports are available on HathiTrust at Annual report of the Director of the Mint. More recent annual reports of the US Mint are available on the Mint website.
