Seeking history of Manhattan Savings Bank & Trust

Hello, I specialize in restoring antique safes and vaults. I have a safe that I'm looking for the history of. The name on the front of the safe is Manhattan Savings Bank & Trust. It has also been Id tagged by Union Planters Bank at a later date, which is now Regions Bank. The serial numbers on the safe date it in the late 1800s to early 1900s. And I believe it to have come from the Memphis, TN area. But I can't for the life of me find anything on in the late 1800s to early 1900s. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

We suggest that you contact the Memphis Public Library Archives or the Tennessee State Library and Archives for possible information about the Manhattan Savings Bank & Trust. We searched the Library of Congress catalog and found the book Standard history of Memphis, Tennessee, from a study of the original sources, ed. by J. P. Young. that you may browse online for information on the Manhattan Savings Bank & Trust.
