Just FYI the NPRC is only processing emergency request such as burial request. Most likely will resume normal processing when they resume normal operations.
Thanks,

Linda Glaser Jun 18, 2020 9:50 AM (in response to Linda Glaser)I Realize the circumstances due to the Virus. I am trying to get some financial things done and the discount because of my Dad’s Navy will help. Any help in expediting this will be Much appreciated. The President has seen to it that other areas are working. I find it hard to believe he does not have the other branches of the Government open. Sorry to seem pushy but this would really help my family and me. Linda

You may want to try contacting the local or state veterans service office. They maybe able to assist. Sometimes service members were instructed to have their discharge papers recorded at the local recorder's office. Especially if they are receiving state benefits. Anything at this point is worth a shot.
