Seeking US Coast Guard service records of John Streuber

Can anyone help me locate my grandfather's US Coast Guard service records? John Streuber was career USCG, and retired in Charleston, SC. he passed away in Charleston in 1975. He rarely spoke about his service, and my sons are preparing to apply for ROTC scholarships - the information from their great grandfather's service ay be good background.
