Seeking inquiry about incident during General Burnside's Knoxville Campaign

    Thomas Boltz Newbie

I am looking for information on what records group to research for information on a Union Army Court of Inquiry reportedly held to  investigate an  incident that occurred during General Burnside's Knoxville Campaign in 1863?    My  great great uncle was captured along with 52 of his comrades in Company B, 111th Ohio Volunteer Infantry (OVI) while on picket duty.  The incident is recorded in Union Army after action reports at both the regimental and higher HQ levels.  The Official Records state that there was to be an official court of inquiry conducted on why they were not ordered to withdraw  However, I have not found any information if this court was actually held. The Official Records are silent on this detail.   If the court records exist, I would like to read them.
