Seeking records of my father

My mother and father met during WWII in Kansas City, Missouri. They never married but I was born on June 11, 1943. The only information I have about him is that he was from Idaho and had two sisters. I was told that he had died in or over Canada on a flight. I have no other information about him. Although his last name would indicate that he might of of German descent. Ancestry.com shows my heritage on his side is from the Caucasus. Thank you

Since your father died in Canada and you have his last name, we suggest that you contact the Library and Archives of Canada, 395 Wellington Street, Ottawa, ON K1A 0N4, Canada and request a search of the death records.
