We searched the National Archives Catalog and located Fortifications Map File Plans of Military Forts containing Plan of the City of New York in North America: Surveyed in the years 1766 and 1767. / A South West View of the City of New York taken from the Governor's Island at, and Civil Works Map File containing Plan of the City of New York, in North America: Surveyed in the Years 1766 & 1767. Both of these are in the Records of the Office of the Chief of Engineers (Record Group 77) and have been digitized and are available for viewing and downloading through the Catalog.We also searched online and located multiple examples of maps of colonial and revolutionary era maps, to include the following:
