Marriage and death records in 1700s Pennsylvania were usually Bible records. You may also find information in deeds, wills, loose papers and other court documents. Birth and death records were not mandated in Pennsylvania until 1906. Philadelphia's mandated records started in 1860 but don't have much detail. Newspapers may have death notices in the 1700s depending on location and sometime the notoriety of the person.
Hi Susan, Did you make any progress with this?
Thank you for anything you may be able to share.
