Is there support to help transcribe the journal of a locally important individual from the 1870s

      • The Journal is in pdf form but not yet transcribed
      • It is the journal of William H. Hearding. In 1851 Hearding was appointed Assistant Engineer to the U.S. Corps of Engineers in their survey of the Great Lakes, assigned to the Lake Survey Office in Detroit. He did surveying of Lake Superior in the Duluth-Superior area.
      • His original journal, is in the University of MN - Duluth archives. https://libarchive.d.umn.edu/index.php?p=creators/creator&id=441
        • I have scanned the old microfiche files into pdf format, and would now like to get them carefully transcribed.
        • crowd sourcing that would be great!
