Sorry to hear about your problem.
I think the best thing for you to do would be to go to the nearest Veteran's Administration Office and ask them for help. Here is a website to find one near you. https://www.va.gov/directory/guide/home.asp
Did you work with a home lender that is approved to work with VA loans? Most lenders do but some rare cases their are some that do not know the ins and outs pertaining to VA home loans. I have usually had home lender gives me the paperwork to fill out then he submits to regional VA office for processing. This usually requires me to submit my DD214, DD256 or equivalent depending on your branch of service. VA home loans typically do not decline simply based upon retirement points. However they can clearly see on your discharge they can see enlistment date and your ETS date. I would call the Department of Veterans Affairs number and ask for someone in home loans.
Dear Mr. Smith,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
Official Military Personnel Folders (OMPFs) occasionally will have a missing portion of retirement points based on the individual’s active duty status. If you did not receive a full accounting of your retirement points, you will need to contact the Armed Service Branch you served with and ask for a DA Form 5016 (Chronological Statement of Retirement Points).
