CCC Museum planned at Kanawha State Forest, Charleston WV

    Jennifer Bauman Newbie

Kanawha State Forest served as a Civilian Conservation Corps camp in the late 1930's.  The "CCC boys" planted trees, built the superintendent's home, and beautiful picnic shelters, creating one of West Virginia's premier recreational forests.

Superintendent Chris Bartley wants to honor the CCC with a permanent exhibit in the new forest headquarters.  If you can help build this exhibit, please contact him for more information.
