Dear Ms. Taylor,
Thank you for posing your request on History Hub!
Photographs of various Civilian Conservation Corps, National Youth Administration, and United States Forest Service activities are in the custody of the National Archives at College Park - Still Picture (RDSS). Please contact RDSS via email at stillpix@nara.gov to request a search for records related to Camp Capitan (originally called Camp Baca or Baca Campground) in the Lincoln National Forest. Please also contact the National Archives at Denver (RM-DV) via email at denver.archives@nara.gov, as they have records relating to various federal activities in New Mexico, to include Lincoln National Forest. We also searched online and located several articles and videos that include pictures of the camp or otherwise discuss the history of the camp. You may wish to contact these organizations for more information.

Re: Seeking photos of CCC camp in BACA Canyon
Tom McGlinchey Mar 5, 2020 8:01 PM (in response to Lea Taylor)Lea, I have had some success reviewing CCC history by reviewing the online resources of a small CCC museum that is housed within Gilbert Lake State Park, NY. They are tough to find now. I'll keep looking. They are not as well organized as this, though (and this site may have assumed operation of the other, dunno): http://www.ccclegacy.org/home.php
