We searched the the National Archives Catalog and located Records of Sheldon J. Krys Relating to Iran Hostages, 10/12/1977 - 5/14/1985, #3290 - MISCELLANEOUS: PIS -- Iran Hostage Release, Research Files Relating to the Iran Hostage Crisis Negotiations, 1980 - 1981, and Human Rights Files, 1962 - 1983, and Subject Files of Edmund S. Muskie, 1963 - 1981 in the General Records of the Department of State (Record Group 59). We also located Records Relating to Hostages in Iran, 11/4/1979 - 4/13/1981 in the Records of Interdepartmental and Intradepartmental Committees (State Department) (Record Group 353). The General Records of the Department of the Treasury (Record Group 56) includes Records Relating to Iranian Hostage Negotiations, 1979 - 1981 and Chronological Files Relating to Iranian Hostage Negotiations, 2/22/1979 - 1/19/1981, and Subject Files , 1978 - 1981. In addition, we located Classified Subject Files of the Attorney General, 1981 - 1988 (Record Group 60). Some of the documents in these series are available online. In regards to photographs, we searched the National Archives Catalog and located 122 photographs relating to the Iran Hostage Crisis that have been digitized and are available online through the Catalog. We also located three series titled Portraits of Americans Held Hostage in Iran, 1979 - 1980, Photographs Related to the Release and Homecoming of the American Hostages Held in Iran, 11/1979 - 4/1981, and Prints of U.S. and Foreign Dignitaries, and Diplomatic Events and Facilities, 1955 - 1993 in the General Records of the Department of State (Record Group 59) as well as USIA Correspondent and World Photographs, 1/1964 - 12/1982 in the Records of the U.S. Information Agency (Record Group 306).
