Seeking discharge certificate of Frederick Maps

    Frederick Rullman Newbie

Frederick Maps was a soldier in the Revolutionary Army under General George Washington. His discharge was a very special one, It listed the battles he fought in the outfits he served with and was signed by General George Washington. It was displayed in my Grandmother's home for many years until her death, at which time it was stolen by some family member. It had been promised to me as I was named after him. He served in the Army from Feb 1777 to June 1783. He was discharged as a Sergeant. He was born in West Long Branch, New Jersey in 1756 and died in Jan 1818. I want to find the discharge certificate for my grandfather who fought in General Washington's Army at the battle of Monmouth in 1778.
