Seeking my ancestors Revolutionary War Pension File Final Payment Vouchers

    Claudette Darling Newbie

How do I get my ancestors Revolutionary War Pension File Final Payment vouchers?   My ancestor was John Reid/Reed, who served in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.  I have the records that were on Ancestry.com and Fold3.  He lost his right arm in a cannon explosion, and so was able to obtain an Invalid Pension.  The last record says, "John Reed, late a Private in Capt. Weare's Co. of the Regt. commanded by Col. Scammel, N.H."  It also says "Dead--see letter to A. Peirce, July 2, 1835."   John Reed left a wife, Emily, and a daughter, Susan.  It would seem that there should have been correspondence, and/or Final Payment Vouchers for the widow and child.
