Dear Mr. Burgess,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
We searched the National Archives Catalog and located Military Intelligence Photographic Interpretation Reports, 1942 - 1946 in the Records of the Naval Intelligence Command (Record Group 289) that may have copies of the aerial photographs you seek. For access and/or copies of these records, please contact the National Archives at College Park - Cartographic (RDSC) via email at carto@nara.gov.
We also located the Military Intelligence Photographic Interpretation (MIPI) Reports, 8/1942 - 3/1956 in the Records of Headquarters U.S. Air Force (Air Staff) (Record Group 341) that may contain a report and aerial photographs. For access and/or copies of these records, please contact the National Archives at College Park - Textual Reference (RDT2) via email at archives2reference@nara.gov.
In addition, we located an article in the Winter 2007 edition of Prologue entitled “Mission to ŠtÄ•chovice: How Americans Took Nazi Documents From Czechoslovakia—and Created a Diplomatic Crisis” that mentions the December 1945 request by U.S. Forces European Theater (USFET) for aerial photographs of the ŠtÄ•chovice area, as part of intelligence gathering for Operation Hidden Documents. The article includes a note on sources. To access the textual sources cited in the document, please contact RDT2. To access the Army Signal Corps photographs cited, please contact the National Archives at College Park - Still Picture (RDSS) via email at stillpix@nara.gov.
We hope this information is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
