I would like to use audio from "News Flash Describing the Japanese Attack on Pearl Harbor" (https://catalog.archives.gov/id/2192572) in a podcast about the attack on Pearl Harbor.
I originally found the audio file on the Internet Archive listed as public domain. But on the National Archives page the use restriction is "Restricted - Possibly." How would I find out more information on the ownership and / or use restrictions for this clip. Thanks!
Dear Ms. Richards,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
It is the user's responsibility to identify the copyright owner and to obtain all necessary clearances before using the records for purposes in excess of "fair use." The records creator is listed as the National Broadcasting Company.
We hope this information is helpful.
