Dear Ms. Silvis,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
We searched the National Archives Catalog and located Passenger and Crew Lists of Vessels Arriving at New York, New York, 6/16/1897-7/3/1957 in the Records of the Immigration and Naturalization Service (Record Group 85). Some records are digitized and available in the Catalog but not all. For access to and/or copies, please contact the National Archives at Washington - Textual Reference (RDT1) via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We also searched Ancestry and located Antonia Sgarlata with her 4 children on board the ship Augustus that departed Gibraltar, Britain and arrived in New York, New York on April 22, 1957 along with the names of other passengers. However, the passenger list does not indicate the age of any passengers, cabin numbers or trip costs. There may be a fee for using Ancestry. Instead, you may view these records online at one of NARA's facilities for free via a NARA PC. For the nearest NARA location, please consult our web page at https://www.archives.gov/locations/. Also, some of the images from Ancestry are available for free on Family Search at https://www.familysearch.org/en/.
We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your family research!
Hi- I found the same info as Lisha. This passenger list was on familysearch.org. You need an account but it is free. This should give you a starting point to help research the rest of what you are looking for.
