Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
We searched the National Archives Catalog and located Compiled Service Records of Soldiers Who Served in the American Army During the Revolutionary War and Compiled Service Records of American Naval Personnel Who Served in the Revolutionary War in the War Department Collection of Revolutionary War Records (Record Group 93). The former series documents the military service of soldiers in the Continental Army, State Troops, and some state and local militias. The latter series documents both sailors and civilian employees of the Continental Navy. Many of these records have been digitized and can be viewed online through the Catalog. The remainder are not yet available through our Catalog. For access to the records that are not digitized, please contact the National Archives at Washington, DC - Textual Reference (RDT1) via email at Archives1reference@nara.gov.
These records are also available through our digitization partnership with Fold3, under the titles Revolutionary War Service Records for Army records and Revolutionary War Service Records - Navy for naval records. Please see here for their description of the Army collection and an explanation of how to use the collection on their website, to include what they mean by the terms “Individual records” and “Unit records.” There may be a fee for accessing these records via Fold3. Fold3 can be accessed for free at any National Archives location. Some public and university libraries also offer access to their patrons.
We hope this information is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
