Dear Ms. Carullo,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
We searched the National Archives Catalog and located two series the Record Books of Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Offices of the Confederate Government; and the Carded Records Showing Service of Military Units in Confederate Organizations in the War Department Collection of Confederate Records (Record Group 109) that includes information about the troops from South Carolina as well as the units. Some of the records have been digitized and available via the Catalog. For access to and/or copies of the records that have not been digitized, please contact the National Archives at Washington - Textual Reference (RDT1) via email at archives1reference@nara.gov.
We also searched Ancestry, and located All Military Results for William Henry Truett; All Military Results for John Daniel Truett; and All Military Results for Pinckney Truett. There may be a fee for using Ancestry. However, you may view these records online at one NARA's facilities for free via a NARA PC. For the nearest NARA location, please consult our web page at https://www.archives.gov/locations/. Also, some of the images from Ancestry are available for free on Family Search at https://www.familysearch.org/en/.
We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your family research!
