In the 1930's, there was the WPA Slave Narrative Project, that interviewed former slaves in several southern states. The Library of Congress has digital collections on their website here- https://www.loc.gov/collections/slave-narratives-from-the-federal-writers-project-1936-to-1938/about-this-collection/ It looks like LoC also has narratives from other states/projects as well on their Slavery in America resource guide- https://guides.loc.gov/slavery-in-america/digital-collections
You may also consider contacting the American Folklife Center of the Library of Congress. The staff may be able to provide information about additional oral history projects to collect information about slavery.
