Dear Ms. Stollberg,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
We searched the National Archives Catalog and located Population Schedules for the 1910 Census; the 1920 Census; and the 1930 Census in the Records of the Bureau of the Census (Record Group 29). Digital images of 1910, 1920 and 1930 census records are not available yet in the Catalog for all Massachusetts enumeration districts but are digitized and available on Ancestry.
On Ancestry, we located a possible 1904 Naturalization Record for Willard Allen Rano; the 1907 Rhode Island Marriage Index for Willard & Ethel Rano; and Massachusetts Marriage Record with the names of his parents listed.
We also located Willard as head of household on the 1910 Census (shows country of origin of his parents); head of household with his wife, child & other lodgers on the 1920 Census; head of household on the 1930 Census with his wife and 5 children (surname was misspelled) and Willard’s 1932 Massachusetts Death Index. We were unable to find any census records before 1910 for Willard Rano nor any census records for Willard’s grandparents.
There may be a fee for using Ancestry. However, you may view these records online at one NARA's facilities for free via a NARA PC. For the nearest NARA location, please consult our web page at https://www.archives.gov/locations/. Also, some of the images from Ancestry are available for free on Family Search at https://www.familysearch.org/en/.
We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your family research!
