Dear Ms. Lehew,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
We searched the National Archives Catalog and located the series Compiled Service Records of Soldiers Who Served in the American Army During the Revolutionary War and Case Files of Pension and Bounty-Land Warrant Applications Based on Revolutionary War Service that may contain information about Phillip Wigal’s service during the Revolutionary War. For access to and/or copies of these records, please contact the National Archives at Washington (RDT1) via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. More information is available on NARA’s website at https://www.archives.gov/research/military/american-revolution.
You also may wish to search Family Search’s Pennsylvania Online Genealogy Records
for genealogical information about your family members in Pennsylvania. And, we found his gravesite using Find-a-Grave. Since your ancestor passed away in Wood County, West Virginia, browsing the West Virginia Online Genealogy Records could be useful as well. There may be a fee associated with accessing information on this website.
We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your family research!
