We also located Records Relating to the History of the War Department, 1918 - 1941, which includes a one page “Brief Historical Record of the 13th Cavalry” in box 285, folder “13th Cavalary History 1901-.” This history summarizes the history of the 13th Cavalry from its establishment in 1901 through 1919. The series also includes some records relating to the 13th Cavalry from latter years. These records are in the custody of the National Archives at College Park - Textual Reference (RDT2). We also searched online and located a number of references to the 13th Cavalry in the
Annual Report of the Secretary of War, Part 3, 1903. See page 463 for its listing on the index. We also located a collection of photographs relating to the regiment’s service in the Philippines on the Facebook channel of author Mathew Westfall.
The U.S. Army Center of Military History may also have useful materials.
