Seeking document about Mersereau Spy Ring

Seeking document(s) that prove that Paul Mersereau (1741-1823) participated in the Mersereau Spy Ring on Staten Island 1776-1780 for General Washington. The Mersereau Spy Ring on Staten Island was one of the first intelligence networks established towards the end of 1776 for General Washington. Joshua Mersereau and John LaGrange Mersereau set up the network and were the initial agents. Additional family members and trusted friends were added over time. After 18 months of successful intelligence gathering behind enemy lines (Staten Island was overrun with British Troops and war ships), John LaGrange suspected that his cover had been compromised, retired, and left Staten Island. His younger brother John and uncle Paul took over gathering intelligence and being the currier to General Washington.
