We searched the National Archives Catalog and Google but were unable to locate information pertaining to Army 8582nd DU except for it being listed as the contributor and publisher of Use of Camouflage in the Soviet Army by Truman R. Bowman.

  Thank you. The 8582nd DU was known as Detachment R of the US Army operating under the Assistant Chief of Staff US Army for Intelligence.
