Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
We searched the National Archives Catalog and located the Population Census for 1920 and 1930 but found nothing for Shelby County, Tennessee on it. However, we were able to locate Georgia Tann on the 1940 Census Population Schedules - Tennessee - Shelby County - ED 79-47 in the Records of the Bureau of the Census (Record Group 29).
We searched Ancestry and located Georgia Tann living with her parents in their home listed on the 1920 Census; and her 1950 Death Certificate . We were unable to locate her on the 1930 Census but found her on a 1930 Memphis City Directory. There may be a fee for using Ancestry but you may view these records online at one NARA's facilities for free via a NARA PC. For the nearest NARA location, please consult our web page at https://www.archives.gov/locations/.
Please contact the Tennessee State Library & Archives to obtain birth certificates for her family members. The Social Security Administration’s Death Index which is digitized and available on Ancestry as a useful genealogical research tool.
We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your family research!
