Dear Mr. Cohen,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
We searched the National Archives Catalog and located 95 series of digitized Records of the American Commission for the Protection & Salvage of Artistic & Historic Monuments in War Areas, 1942-1946 (Record Group 239), also referred to as the Roberts Commission. Of these series, the Minutes of Meetings; List of Repositories of Works of Art & Archives in Germany & Austria; Geographical Records;Notes on Safeguarding & Conserving Cultural Materials in the Field; Records of the Secretariat; Handbooks & Lists of Monuments; and Maps Showing Areas to be Spared Destruction During World War II may be of interest to your research. Digital images of the maps are available on Fold3, via National Archives Microfilm Publication M1944, or by contacting the National Archives at College Park - Cartographic (RDSC) via email at carto@nara.gov.
Background information about the Presidentially appointed Roberts Commission on NARA’s website at Foreign Affairs.
We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
