Federal Government has no authority to appraise or authenticate historical documents not in its custody. Please write to the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America, 20 West 44th Street, New York, NY 10036, which maintains a list of their members who are qualified to appraise historical documents or search for a bookseller in your area via their website at
