Yvonne Kitchen Aug 1, 2019 7:40 PM (in response to Henry Rosenberg)Thank you Henry,
The copy you provided is the best and clear, very clear. My apologies I should have been clearer, I can’t find Street Field where Grandpa Mack Smith was buried. The death certificate says burial but I can’t find Street Field.
please we are desperate. Again thank you, I’m very grateful.

Re: Seeking Grave Site of Mack Smith
Henry Rosenberg Aug 2, 2019 12:06 PM (in response to Yvonne Kitchen)Hi Yvonne- I'll keep looking but for now perhaps if you call Jasper County maybe they would have a record of the Street Field Cemetery. It may have become something else, merged with anohter cemetery or perhaps it was a pauper's grave site that was abandoned. No offense but if he didn't have family or someone who would have paid for burial they may have buried him in a county burial site. Sorry I couldn't help more.

Henry Rosenberg Aug 2, 2019 4:24 PM (in response to Yvonne Kitchen)1 person found this helpfulYvonne- According to a website I checked, The Jasper County Historic Society has published a book on cemeteries of Jasper County. Not sure if they can help. I had noticed the coroner was from Hardeeville so I Googled that and found the below report.
http://hardeevillesc.gov/DocumentCenter/View/944/2009-Comprehensive-Plan-PDF?bidId=
This is interesting. I don't know if you knew this but it looked like Mack had an older sister Ella who died in 1934. She is also buried at Streetfield Graveyard.

I still can't find any info about Streetfield Graveyard but maybe with these death certificates, if you email them to Jasper County maybe they can make head or tail of it.
Good luck,
Henry

Re: Seeking Grave Site of Mack Smith
Henry Rosenberg Aug 3, 2019 12:27 PM (in response to Yvonne Kitchen)1 person found this helpfulHi Yvonne. I'm not sure if I'm getting too far off track but I did a search for Mack Smith, the father and Ella Brown. Do you know if he was born around 1880? If so, I came across another death certificate for a son named Bennie who died in 1939 and was listed as 41 years old.
It says Bennie was buried in the Bostick cemetary(sic). I did a little looking and supposedly the Bostick cemetery was for the Bostick family and was near Brighton and Robertville. Do you know if you had any relations with the Bostick family? They may have been plantation owners(?). I'm not sure how this helps but maybe it has something to do with Streetfield graveyard or maybe this is a deadend.
Let me know if this is helpful or not. Not sure if I am getting into the weeds too much for you.
Have a good weekend,
Henry
