My father S/Sgt Edmund D Kruszynski served in the Patton's 3rd Army 648th Medical Clearing Company as part of the 65th Medical Group. I am looking for the 648th unit histories or after action reports. I believe they might be located in Unit Annual Reports 1940-1949 in the Records of the office of the Surgeon General Army Record Group 112. I tried pulling them from the link but nothing came up. Is it possible for you to send me a pdf of the 648th After Action Reports or Unit History? The dates I would be looking for are March 1944-August 1945.
Thank you for any help you may be able to provide to locate these histories for me.
Dear Mr. Kruszynski,
Thank you for posting your follow-up request on History Hub!
Unfortunately, the history of the 648th Medical Clearing Company for 1944-1945 mentioned in our previous response has NOT been digitized. If you are interested in a copy of the history, please contact the National Archives at College Park -Textual Reference (RDT2) via email at archives2reference@nara.gov and RDT2 will provide you with ordering information.
We hope this is helpful.
