2 people found this helpfulDear Mr. Schneider,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
We searched the World War II Operations Reports, 1940-1948 in the Records of the Adjutant General's Office (Record Group 407) and located files pertaining to the action in Normandy during Operation Neptune/Market for 6 June to 8 July 1944 of the 82nd Airborne Division. None were specifically marked as Mission Elmira or Chicago or Detroit but they may be mentioned in the files.
