Army Signal Corps and Air Force photographs taken during the Vietnam War are in the custody of the National Archives at College Park - Still Picture (RDSS). Please contact RDSS via email at stillpix@nara.gov.
Motion picture records of combat operations from the Army and Air Force during the Vietnam War are in the custody of the National Archives at College Park - Motion Picture (RDSM). Please contact RDSM via email at mopix@nara.gov. In addition, they have custody of large newsreels series directed at the peoples of South Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, and Laos as well as numerous documentaries that report the war's progress and explain America's strategy in terms of its foreign policy objectives.
Also, you might want to review an article about the SonTay raid from the National Museum of the Air Force as it may contain information of interest to you.
