Re: How do you see indian names on 1900 census
Lisha PennJul 24, 2019 12:07 PM (in response to Jeanne Beauvais)
Dear Ms. Beauvais,
Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!
Prior to the digitization by NARA’s partners, the Indian Census Rolls, 1885-1940 in the Records of the Bureau of Indian Affairs (Record Group 75) were available via National Archives Publication M595. Please use NARA’s online Microfilm Catalog to learn which NARA units have copies of this microfilm publication.
For problems that you have experienced on Ancestry and FamilySearch, we suggest that you contact the Ancestry Support Center at https://support.ancestry.com/s/ and/or the FamilySearch Help Center at https://www.familysearch.org/ask/landing for assistance with their websites.
We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your family research!
