Spanish cruiser Blas de Lezo - Manila - 1927

    Newbie

I am researching about the visit of the Spanish cruiser Blas de Lezo to Manila (The Phillppines) in October 1927. I am looking for information related to exchanges with the US authorities in the preparation of the visit. Thanks

          Dear Mr. Perez,

Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!

We searched the National Archives Catalog and located 36 series pertaining to the Philippines in the Records of the Bureau of Insular Affairs (Record Group 350) that include resolutions of the Legislature, Executive Orders & Proclamations of the Governor General, and abstracts of newspaper & magazine articles. These records may contain the information you seek. For access to these series, please contact the National Archives at College Park - Textual Reference (RDT2) via email at archives2reference@nara.gov.

Any photographs of the visit may be in the custody of the National Archives at College Park - Still Pictures (RDSS). Please contact RDSS via email at stillpix@nara.gov.

We hope this is helpful. Best of luck with your research!
