Hi Chloe. The National Archives does hold land records for California but this only captures the first movement of the land from the ownership of the Federal Government to private hands. By 1930 in San Diego most land was probably in private ownership. There for you probably want to start with the County Assessor's office and then move to the State Archives or Historical society. There is a similar thread listed here land ownership records. It is for the east coast but the theory of researching the records is be the same.
