1 person found this helpfulPlease share the link (the URL at the top of the page) for the record you are trying to download. This will help us figure out why you are unable to download.
Also you should know that there are different logins required for History Hub and the National Archives Catalog. However, you do not need to log in the the National Archives Catalog in order to search or download records.

1 person found this helpfulIt may have something to do with the browser you are using. I've confirmed that the download button appears in Chrome and Firefox. Here's a screenshot with an arrow pointing to the download button:
Try using Chrome or Firefox, if you continue to have problems, email us directly catalog@nara.gov and we can download the image and send it to you.

Re: Down loading images
Gordon Goodfellow Aug 29, 2020 5:10 PM (in response to Ruth Marks)The text in some images is difficult to read. So I would like to be able to download the jpg file and use image enhancement capabilities in other applications to help decipher the text.
I am working on Linux where Firefox has the download button, but Chrome does not. Would it be possible to display the location of the jpg file somewhere on the web page so that browsers that do not have the download button can get access to the jpg file?
By the way, when I work on a Chromebook running ChromeOS, the Chrome browser does display the download button, but it's missing on the Linux Chrome browser.

1 person found this helpfulI'm sorry, we're not able to make the change to the Catalog to display the link to the record. As for the issue with the Linux Chrome browser - I'm asking our developers about this and will be back in touch when I have an answer.

Re: Down loading images
Gordon Goodfellow Sep 2, 2020 12:56 AM (in response to National Archives Catalog)It looks like the problem is something specific to this computer. I tried using the the same version of the Chrome browser on two other Linux computers and they both had the download button. So it looks like I need to figure out what is different on this computer.

Re: Down loading images
Gordon Goodfellow Sep 16, 2020 3:48 PM (in response to Gordon Goodfellow)I figured out what was causing the download button to be missing. In the Chrome browser settings I had font size set to large. Changing it to medium allowed the button to be displayed.
