Looking for road (Goshen Road) traveled by 170 men in harsh winter of February 1776 by George Rogers Clark from Kaskaskia, IL to Vincennes, IN and road from Shawneetown to Alton before expedition of northwest United States....if you search map of Illinois in 1800

Thank you for posting your request on History Hub!

We searched the National Archives Catalog and located three items from the National Register of Historic Places and National Historic Landmarks Program Records that mention Goshen Road. We located five maps of Illinois created between 1778 and 1819. These maps have been digitized and are available through the Catalog. Please contact the National Archives at College Park - Cartographic (RDSC) via email at carto@nara.gov to inquire as to whether RDSC has additional maps pertaining to Illinois that have not been digitized yet.

We also suggest that you contact the Illinois State Archives for maps.
