Hello,
I am a researcher from Paris, France, currently working on the subject of American civil aid to the victims of the Second World War in Europe, including aid to the Spanish Civil War refugees.
In the book "American Relief Aid and the Spanish Civil War" by Erik Smith (University of Missouri Press, 2013) the author mentions "the records of anarchist organizational contributions kept by the State Department on all aid organizations which began in May 1937" (p. 28). Unfortunately, the author does not give a precise reference of the archives studied in this regard, and I was unable to locate them myself on the NARA website. Is it possible to receive the exact reference? Are the records in question available online? They would be very helpful for my research. Particularly, the historical period that interests me is 1930-1955.
Thanks in advance !
Maria
